Happy New Year to all and here is the peek of our first meeting of 2010!

James Ho kick started the meeting by overwhelming us with his maiden speech. From his youth to his courtship days till now, a father of 2 kids, he delighted us with his cool composure and timely humour! Undoubtedly, he won over the audiences and was voted as the best speaker of the evening!

Up next was Zhen Chong on his apt speech on New Year Resolution. His wry humour is not to be taken lightly as he said it with a straight face: "The only resolution we probably keep is the computer resolution"...wahahahahahaha

Undeterred by the two polished speakers, Richard Tan brought public speaking to new frontiers- he talked about his army days, from using an umbrella that served as a prop for gun, to acrobatic acts like doing push-ups in the midst of his speech, superb! (Mindy aren't you proud of such a cool multitasker!)

Next, Kim Ling shared with us on the power of memory and also detailed the make-up of short and long term memory. What an appropriate topic for me coz I have yet to return her the thumb drive which has been long over due! (Yes my dear Kim Ling, I have got the hint!)

Mindy, Liang Siah and our distinguished guests, Azizah Binte Sapari and Lim Seh Leng gave insightful and crisp advices for the speakers! wow! Azizah was the best of the best and conferred the best evaluator of the evening!

Brave souls aplenty during the Table Topic Session, chaired by Melissa
- kudos to Leong Wei, Jimmy, Shawn, Colin and Kim Ling whom tried their hands on impromptu speeches.

Jimmy, with his cool demeanor tackled the topic "Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway" with a tinge of humor coupled with a touch of realism. He melted the audiences and won the coveted title of the best table topic speaker!

ultra cool!

The evening was wrapped up by our veteran Language evaluator, Albert Lim, who patiently and painstakingly shared with us the dos and don'ts of the use of the Language.

Thank you Albert Lim!

We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to our dedicated committee members, appointment holders, visiting toastmasters and guests, who made our meeting a successful and meaningful one.
